wagjag_seasonal_logo One of Canada’s largest group-buying websites has embraced group-giving this holiday season in support of SickKids.

WagJag, a daily deal website, has dedicated eight days in December to SickKids Foundation in support of The Hospital for Sick Children. From December 23 to 31, visitors to WagJag.com will have the option to donate to SickKids. WagJag will match all donations up to $100 per person, to a total of $50,000.

Look for SickKids Foundation as the “main deal” in Toronto, York Region, Brampton and Mississauga on December 24. It will then be the featured deal in Halton, Hamilton, Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener/Waterloo and Niagara on December 25.

Visit the WagJag website to see the SickKids promotion. Make a donation to help improve the health and well-being of children in Canada and around the world.

SickKids Foundation will issue tax receipts for gifts of $20 or more.

Help spread the word about this great initiative!

image It was the Power of 2, but also the power of many as hundreds of people took to their cell phones and texted, tweeted and donated for the fundraising challenge between ET Canada hosts Rick Campanelli and Cheryl Hickey as they battled it out for charity. Bragging rights and good-natured public embarrassment were on the line as the co-hosts duked it out for a week and a half.

The victor? Cheryl and SickKids Foundation, who raised a whopping $11,347! In addition to donations that support The Hospital for Sick Children, the victory is even sweeter for Cheryl because it means she can enjoy watching Rick have his legs waxed live on television. Tune into ET Canada tonight at 7:30 p.m.!

A big thank you to everyone who participated through donations and helping us spread the word in support of two great charities.

We would also like to thank Cheryl Hickey for such a fabulous commitment to SickKids Foundation.

Happy holidays everyone!

1_ct_cel1_pict1 The race is on as ET Canada co-hosts Rick Campanelli and Cheryl Hickey are in a battle for first place. Each host is encouraging their fans to raise money for their charity of choice: Cheryl for SickKids Foundation and Rick for Athletes for Africa.

The person who raises the least money for charity will have to perform a very “public” task: Rick will have to wax his legs and Cheryl will have to perform with the Raptors Dance Pak at a game. Help SickKids by supporting Cheryl Hickey!

We have fallen a bit behind and we need your help! Donate $2 or more to Power of 2 before 11:59 p.m. on December 21, or text a $5 donation using the keyword “Cheryl” to 20222.

Right now, all donations are being matched by a generous donor.

Visit us on Twitter and Facebook to help spread the word! Use the hashtag #PO2Hickey to support Cheryl!

Go Cheryl go!
