The rain couldn’t dampen the mood inside The Hospital for Sick Children today as patients enjoyed the first ever indoor beach party. Patients and families cooled off with delicious Blizzard treats served up by Dairy Queen.
A giant DQ cone mascot, Maple Leafs mascot Carlton the Bear and Maple Leafs forward Colby Armstrong were on hand to take photos with the patients and help them with their arts and crafts projects.
The beach party marks the launch of Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day, which will take place on August 11.
