At SickKids Foundation we have the privilege of meeting some of the most courageous and extraordinary children and young adults who have been treated at The Hospital for Sick Children.
On occasion, we have the benefit of crossing paths with a former patient of SickKids who no longer needs treatment or who has graduated to the adult health-care system.
Our most recent campaign, Together We Will, which launched on Monday, tells the stories of former and current SickKids patients through “I’m a SickKids Kid” vignettes. You might hear them on the radio, see them on transit shelters, view them in the newspaper or find them on our campaign website. And we’re always looking for more stories to share.
If you have a “SickKids Kid” story to tell, we want to hear from you. Ten people have already submitted their stories. On our share wall you can read about Kathryn, who was diagnosed with scoliosis at age three. Or you can learn about Ray’s heart condition, which he has had for 21 years.
Submit your story and tell us why you’re a SickKids Kid.
