Congratulations to Lynn C. Shaw from Amherstburg, Ontario! Shaw won the grand prize of $1,000,000 cash* in the SickKids Lottery.

CTV News at Noon weatherman Tom Brown reported live from The Hospital for Sick Children on Thursday, December 9, while SickKids Foundation President and CEO Ted Garrard drew the winning ticket from the large drum.

During his on-air segments, Brown interviewed Garrard as well as some of the patients and families who were on hand for the celebrations. Among them was five-year-old Helena, the face of this fall’s SickKids Lottery and a cancer patient.
