Things are heating up at the SickKids Radiothon as we enter into our second Power Hour of the day.
This hour is sponsored by 407 ETR, who has been a longtime supporter of SickKids. Last year, through its IceWave and Heatwave volleyball tournaments, it raised more than $10,000 for the Hospital. Since 2007, it has raised more than $250,000 for SickKids Foundation.
In addition to the Power Hour, 407 ETR is sponsoring the Wishing Wall, where kids, parents and volunteers can stop by and write a wish for SickKids. While they are there, they can also pick up a 407 ETR colouring book.
Here are a few of the wishes we’ve received today:
· “I wish we could find a cure for cancer so we don’t have to suffer” ~ Nicole, 13
· “That I don’t have anymore ‘bad guys’ in my body. I also want to play with my friends and even go to school.” ~ Hunter, 4
· “That all hospitals would be like SickKids” ~ Madi, 16
Send your wish to us through Twitter or Facebook and we will post it on the Wishing Wall, presented by 407 ETR.
407 ETR stretches 108 kilometres across the top of the Greater Toronto Area, they employ about 450 people and approximately 380,000 travellers choose to use 407 ETR each workday, relieving congestion on other highways and local roads.
