It’s a bustling scene of activity here in the Atrium at The Hospital for Sick Children as our 25th annual SickKids Radiothon is now well underway - and things are about to get even more intense as we kick-off the day’s last Power Hour, graciously sponsored by Foresters.
We’re looking for 100 new donors to become monthly Miracle Club members this Power Hour. Foresters has also provided us with 50 volunteers to help handle the phones but it’s up to you to keep them busy!
You’ve been listening to the emotional stories on Newstalk 1010, boom 97.3 and 99.9 Virgin Radio all day. You know that by supporting the SickKids Radiothon, you are also supporting the highest priority needs at The Hospital for Sick Children. Foresters is the presenting sponsor for the SickKids Radiothon for the 11th year in a row.
It’s support for SickKids extends well beyond Radiothon, however. From 2001 to 2005, Foresters helped contribute to the construction of the state-of-the-art Cardiac Diagnostic and Interventional Unit at SickKids, which is used to diagnose and treat children with congenital heart disease. This Unit houses technology that helps to eliminate the need for open-heart surgery among cardiac patients.
