If you need a little inspiration, meet our SickKids kid Hunter.
Brought to the Hospital in November 2009 for exhaustion and high fever, a blood test confirmed that two-year-old Hunter had leukemia. He started treatment immediately.
SickKids has since become like a second family to Hunter and his parents, as Hunter continues to be in active treatment for his cancer. However, Hunter’s will remains strong as he finds strength in his family.
As Hunter started the final stage of his chemotherapy treatment this past February, his mother welcomed the birth of a third child, Willow. Together, they form a bit of a SickKids family, all staying at the Hospital together during Hunter’s three-to-five day chemotherapy admissions.
