Picture 011 (2) Herbie Day has officially begun! Those who tuned in bright and early to Breakfast Television on Citytv this morning would have heard An Binh Vo’s story. Coming to SickKids from Vietnam, An Binh Vo was diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s disease as a teenager. His doctors at home were unable to improve his condition and he came to SickKids through the Herbie Fund hoping to finally have the life-altering surgery he needed. His wish came true when Drs. Jack Langer and Walid Farhat operated on him in January 2011. With his final clinic visit behind him, An Binh Vo has been cleared to return home to Vietnam in June. This is just one of the amazing success stories you’ll hear at Herbie Day today. Show your support for the Herbie Fund and stop by the front lawn of SickKids between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for a special Oliver & Bonacini BBQ lunch and live entertainment. There is also a Kids Fun Zone inside the Hospital that runs 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Can’t make it down? Tune into Citytv as they broadcast live during the six o’clock news hour. You can also check out their website to hear more great stories and learn how you can get involved.
