Rotman Award
Paediatric Home Care Innovation
The Rotman Award for Paediatric Home Care Innovation had been created to help grow and advance the work of important home care delivery systems, ultimately enabling better care and treatment for Canadian children. This $100,000 award for innovation and best practices has been made possible through a generous gift from Janis Rotman. The Rotman Award was offered through National Grants and sponsored by SickKids Foundation.
Any Canadian non-profit organization delivering home and community health care services to infants, children, youth and their families is eligible to be nominated or self-nominate. Award recipients must demonstrate best practices and innovation.
The purpose of the Rotman Award is threefold:
- to recognize successful and innovative home and community health care programs serving children, youth and families in Canada
- to identify and promote examples of best practice program or organizational models from which other organizations can learn
- to encourage further innovation in the winning organization by awarding a cash prize
