Donor Spotlight | Week of August 20

Canada's Wonderland

Canada’s Wonderland is committed to making a difference in our community. Every year, Canada’s Wonderland hosts the Charity Duck Drive in support of SickKids. Now in its 4th year, the Charity Duck Drive raises awareness and funds to benefit the critical research and care of the hospital’s young patients. For the month of August, we invite our guests to help make that impact by purchasing a rubber duck and tossing it into the park’s Royal Fountain on our International Street. On August 30, two lucky ducks will be drawn to win great prizes – though with all proceeds being donated to SickKids, the real prize will be the support given to children and their families. Thanks to our dedicated park guests and staff, Canada’s Wonderland has donated approximately $330,000 to SickKids to date! Canada’s Wonderland is happy to support the great work and compassionate care provided by SickKids.

TELUS

TELUS and TELUS employees are inspired to give where they live, and that includes giving to SickKids. TELUS has been supporting SickKids through employee and matching donations for many years but, this past year, they made a very generous commitment to our new SickKids VS Limits campaign.

TELUS is Canada’s fastest-growing national telecommunications company, including wireless and entertainment, and is also Canada’s largest healthcare IT provider. In support of their philosophy “give where we live,” TELUS team members and retirees have contributed over $525 million to charitable and not-for-profit organizations and volunteered more than 8.7 million hours of service to local communities since 2000.

We are so grateful for the support from TELUS – thank you for joining us to build a new SickKids.
