Heather Broll joined SickKids Foundation in May 2008. In her role as Vice President, Community Involvement/Events, Heather is responsible for growing a successful community involvement program by increasing net fundraising revenue, building awareness of the Foundation and its mandate, expanding the size and scope of events, providing direction and leadership to the Community Involvement team (Community Events, Family Fund Fundraising, Employee Groups and SickKids/Partnership Events) and creating and managing community donor relationships.

Heather was most recently the Director of National Marketing for Cushman & Wakefield LePage where she developed marketing strategies for all major business development assignments for internal clients. She also coached and advised presentation teams locally and nationally.

Heather graduated from the University of Toronto, HBSc, Physical and Health Education, Health Science emphasis.

Outside of the Foundation, Heather was past Volunteer Chair, Communications and Sponsorship Committee for Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada. She is also an avid sailboat racer and participated and completed the Toronto International Marathon.

Robin Cardozo joined SickKids Foundation in April 2012 as Chief Operating Officer. In this position, Robin's responsibilities include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, and support to the President on governance and strategic issues.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Robin served for twelve years as Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), one of Canada's largest grant-making foundations with a mission to help build healthy and vibrant communities in Ontario. OTF is an agency of the Government of Ontario, and during Robin's tenure more than $1 billion in grants were made to deserving not-for-profit organizations across the province.

For a decade before that, Mr. Cardozo served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of United Way Toronto. During those years, Mr. Cardozo's leadership earned him the United Way movement's highest national honour, the André Mailhot Award.

Mr. Cardozo was born in Pakistan, and was educated in Pakistan and in Britain. He was trained as a Chartered Accountant in the 1970's, and was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (FCA) in 2000. He is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D).

Mr. Cardozo currently serves on the Boards of Bridgepoint Hospital and Centennial College. He is also an active volunteer with the Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance and its DiverseCity Steering Committee.

David Estok joined SickKids Foundation in March 2010 as Vice President of Communications. David has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of fields including journalism, communications, marketing, teaching, consulting and public affairs.

He is the former Editor in Chief of The Hamilton Spectator and was Associate Business Editor for Maclean's Magazine where he worked as a senior reporter, senior editor and writer for several publications including The Financial Post. David holds a Masters degree in Journalism from Carleton University and an Honours BA in English and History from Western.

He is the winner of numerous awards in journalism, communications and public relations including "Journalist of the Year" and an International Association of Business Communicators Virtuoso Award for Web communications.

In 2007, The Spectator received the Canadian Journalism Foundation of Excellence Award for the best media organization in Canada. Under Daivd’s leadership The Spectator also won two National Newspaper Awards and was nominated eight times. The Spectator received two Michener nominations for public service journalism as well as winning dozens of Ontario Newspaper Awards.

David regularly lectures before scores of professional organizations including the Richard Ivey School of Business and at The University of Western Ontario.

David is a former member of the Ontario Press Council as well as the Jobs Prosperity Coalition and a past member of the YMCA Board of Directors.

Gary Funderlich joined SickKids Foundation in November 2007 as General Counsel. In June 2008, Gary was promoted to Vice President and Corporate Secretary. In this role Gary has been responsible for the leadership of a number of areas, including Legal, Information Technology, Finance, Gift Administration, Research, the National Grants Program, International, Hospital Relations, Board Relations, and Policy and Compliance. Gary also led the expansion and transformation of the HealthyKids International program.

Prior to joining SickKids Foundation, Gary was the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for AOL Canada Inc. in Toronto. Prior to AOL Canada he was Senior Counsel for AOL Inc. and Director of International Business Development at Systems Center, Inc.

Gary graduated from the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia and also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Banking and Finance from San Francisco State University.

Adrian Horwood joined SickKids Foundation in April 2011. As Vice President, Corporate Partnerships, he is responsible for growing the Foundation’s philanthropic relationships with the business sector.

Adrian has a 35-year track record of success leading fundraising, sales and marketing programs in several of Canada's largest enterprises, including Luminato, National Bank Financial, Celestica, Nortel, Ericcson and Bell. His work has spanned many business sectors: not-for-profit, service, high technology, global manufacturing and financial services.

In addition to his work at SickKids Foundation, Adrian also volunteers in the not-for-profit sector and is currently serving on the board of Free the Children. He has a B.Sc. (Hons) from Memorial University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.

Rosalie joined the Foundation in 2010 with a mandate to set the strategy to acquire, retain and manage donors in a diverse range of direct marketing channels in support of The Hospital for Sick Children.

From 2007 to 2010, she was at Canada Post as General Manager of Marketing and Business Development in the Direct Marketing Line of Business, leveraging her experience to help raise the profile of CPC in the marketing community and improve the effectiveness of their marketing activities. Rosalie was Director, Marketing Strategy at RBC from 2000 to 2007.

Prior to going ‘client side’, Rosalie spent the 90’s with top agencies in Canada and the US, including establishing the McCann Relationship Marketing office in San Francisco and as Vice President, Group Account Director at MacLaren McCann Relationship Marketing in Toronto.

Rosalie is currently the Chair of the Canadian Marketing Association’s Direct Marketing Council and was an instructor for the CMA’s Advanced Marketing Program.

Rosalie has a BA in Economics from McMaster University.

Grant Stirling joined SickKids Foundation in February 2010 as Vice President: Major Gifts. Prior to this, Grant led fundraising programs at The University of Western Ontario for eleven years, rising through a number of positions, to serve as Associate Vice-President (Development).

Grant holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from York University and an M.A. in Theory and Criticism from The University of Western Ontario.

An active community leader, Grant has served as Board Chair of the London Community Hebrew Day School, and as a board member of the United Way of London and Middlesex and the Richard J. Schmeelk Canada Foundation.
