CALL FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Forum on Complementary and Alternative Health Care and Paediatrics.

SickKids Foundation is pleased to invite poster presentations for our second national research forum on complementary and alternative health care and paediatrics. This year’s forum will be held in Toronto, Ontario on May 4, 2007 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The 2007 poster session will take place at the Forum reception, immediately following the one day Forum and the posters will be set up for viewing throughout the day.

Posters should be on topics related to complementary and alternative health care and child and youth health, including research into policy and practice, basic research, program evaluation, utilization data and systematic reviews.

The poster session will provide an excellent venue for health professionals and researchers to share the results of their inquiries into child and youth health related to complementary and alternative health care.

A prize will be awarded for the best student poster.

Poster Presentation Submission Instructions:

  • In the area provided on the abstract submission form fill in the top portion of the form with contact information
  • In the abstract portion of the form, submit the title of the abstract
  • The title should be followed by authors’ names and highest degrees, followed by institution(s) where the research was done
  • The body of the abstract should not exceed 250 words
  • Funding, if applicable, should be mentioned at the end of the abstract

Deadline and Notification
Submissions must be received by the committee by March 15, 2007. All submissions will be acknowledged by email within 3 working days. It is the committee’s intention to accept as many poster presentations as possible; however, all poster abstracts will be reviewed for fit with the forum topic and for quality. Notification of acceptance will be given on March 28, 2007. Notification will be made to the principle presenter/contact person listed – it is this person’s responsibility to communicate this information to any other presenters/authors. All abstracts will be published in The Canadian Journal of Clinical Pharmacology prior to the meeting.
