For people looking for a more formal way to establish a meaningful and lasting tribute, Tribute Recognition Funds can be established either in honour or in memory of others.
Tribute Recognition Funds may support our general highest priority needs, or may be established to support specific areas of care or research at SickKids.

Meagan's Story:
Meagan's Walk: Creating a Circle of Hope was initiated in 2001 by Denise Bebenek after her five-year-old daughter, Meagan, passed away from a terminal brain tumour.
Denise created Meagan's tribute fund to honour her daughter and raise awareness and funds for paediatric brain tumour research in Canada. To date, over $600,000 has been raised to support important research at SickKids.
