Meet Brittney
Child's condition: Tetralogy of Fallot
Brittney
When Brittney was just a few weeks old, doctors in her home town of Trinidad diagnosed her with a congenital heart condition known as Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. No doctor in the community could provide Brittney with the specialized care she required so her family sought outside help. Thankfully, they discovered the Herbie Fund at SickKids. She arrived in Toronto on April 18, 2008 and she received life-changing heart surgery. Brittney returned to Trinidad with her family a few months later, happier and healthier then ever before.
