Meet Nicholous
Child's condition: Acquired Aplastic Anemia
Nicholous
Doctors were shocked to see Nicholous walk into SickKids because of the severity of his rare condition, most arrived by ambulance. After excessive bleeding, extreme fatigue and fainting in the shower, Nicholous was diagnosed as suffering from severe aplastic anemia. At SickKids, he underwent an intensive full-body radiation treatment and a hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Although he will always be at risk, Nicholous has remained positive, active and looking forward to his future.
