Administration

We are so grateful for the support coming from RE/MAX, its agents and its office administrators. We want to ensure that your donations are processed efficiently so that you and your agents are able to receive tax receipts for their gifts that have been generously donated to SickKids.

Miracle Home Program Donations

It is important that all cheques being submitted on behalf of the Miracle Home Program for agents are accompanied with a list of the agents and the amount they are to be receipted for. RE/MAX and Children’s Miracle Network have developed an online tool to help you keep track of agent donations throughout the year called the Miracle System which allows you to easily print off agent donation lists associated with a specific cheque. To connect to the Miracle System, please click on the following link:

SickKids’ Honour Card: The Second Home Program

To augment the Miracle Home Program for agents, SickKids has created The Second Home Program. At a minimum of $25 per transaction to the Miracle Home Program, SickKids will provide an honour cards to agents that can be sent to their clients letting them know that their RE/MAX real estate professional has made a gift on their behalf. With the generosity of Second Home Program participants, clients will know that you are helping to provide comfort and hope to the families at SicKKids.

We ask that as Office Administrators, you help manage the inventory of Second Home Cards for your office and re-order as necessary for those who are donating at the $25/transaction level. For more information, please contact Deborah McKinnon at 416-813-7175 or Deborah.mckinnon@sickkidsfoundation.com.

Other Donations

If the cheque is not from money raised through the Miracle Home Program, it is important to clearly state how the funds were raised and, if applicable, who is to be receipted. Please see receipting guidelines, below, for eligibility.

Cheque Submission

In order to ensure accuracy and timely use of funds, it is our recommendation that offices submit money to SickKids Foundation each quarter:

Quarter 1
January - March

Quarter 2
April - June

Quarter 3
July - September

Quarter 4
October - December

It is important to note that the final quarter submissions to SickKids Foundation must be post-marked on or before December 31st in order to receive receipts for all the money collected in that calendar year.

All cheques should be made payable to SickKids Foundation and should be mailed to the following address:

SickKids Foundation
525 University Ave.
14th Floor
Toronto, ON M5G 2L3
Attn: Deborah McKinnon

Year end receipting is an alternative to receiving receipts each time money is submitted. When an agent receives their year end receipt, it will be for their cumulative total donation for that calendar year. This will be sent to the RE/MAX office before the end of the first quarter in the following calendar year. Year end receipting reduces the number of receipts you need to keep track of, and costs to SickKids.

Receipting Guidelines

The Foundation can issue tax receipts only to those individuals or organizations that make a donation without receiving any product or tangible item in return. Purchases of raffle tickets, admission tickets, green fees and auction items are NOT eligible for a tax receipt.
