SickKids Leaders
SickKids Leaders is a group of dynamic professionals who secure annual philanthropic and volunteer support that guides the direction of one of the world’s best paediatric health care organizations in the world. SickKids Leaders make peer-to-peer connections, raising funds needed to treat the most complex cases of childhood illness and disease. SickKid Leaders helps strengthen connection between community and the Hospital, raising more than $22 million since its inception in 2001/2002 and drawing on support from over 200 business leaders/20 industry sectors. Support as a SickKids Leaders means that more children will live healthier lives.
SickKids Leaders receive exclusive connections and events in association with the Hospital and Foundation: behind-the-scenes tours, unique guest speaker experiences, networking and social or family-focused gatherings. Afterall, paediatric health care is all about interactions with others and making connections: connections between a child and their doctor between research and a cure, between our past, present and our future; the stronger the connections, the better the care.
We are proud of how far SickKids Hospital has come in our 135-year history and how far SickKids Leaders has come over the last decade but we know we need to keep pushing expectations to improve our understanding of the health challenges facing our children. This year's SickKids Leaders goal is over $4.5 million. These funds will assist the greatest priorities of the Hospital including the most ambitious project to date: the construction of the Research Tower, a hub where the world will come to unravel the mysteries of childhood disease and transform paediatric health care.
