Are you a current or former SickKids kid with a collection of Bravery Beads?
Be a part of history. Be a part of our Monument to the Brave.
Since the inception of the Bravery Beads program at SickKids, more than one million patients have earned more than one million beads. As our SickKids VS Limits campaign approaches another historic milestone of one million donors, we want to celebrate the strength of patients past and present by building a Monument to the Brave.
Send us one, some, or many of your own Bravery Beads, and we’ll make them part of our monument: a permanent art installation featuring your authentic Bravery Beads that will be installed in the new SickKids as a symbol of the courage patients demonstrate during their healthcare journey.
Please send us your name, SickKids story and email address, along with as many beads as you’d like to donate, and a photo of you if you wish. We want to know who you are and about your SickKids journey, and to be able to get in touch with you if necessary. Bereaved parents and siblings are also welcome to participate in honour of their loved one.
Click on the link below to download and print a pre-paid mailing label*. Package up your beads and your story, and go to your nearest Canada Post post office with the mailing label. If you don’t have a printer, the link below will provide you with a QR code instead. Take a photo of this code and the post office will be able to print the mailing label for you.
Please take your package to the post office no later than December 1, 2020.
*Please note that the health and safety of our SickKids community is what’s most important. Throughout the evolving COVID-19 situation, we encourage everyone to follow the advice of their local public health unit with regards to visits to their local post office or other destinations.
