Donor Spotlight | Week of March 12

Islamic Relief Canada
Islamic Relief Canada (IRC) is a humanitarian and development organization that operates in over 30 different countries around the world. They protect communities from disasters, deliver life-saving emergency aid, provide lasting routes out of poverty and empower marginalized people to transform their lives and their communities. Their integrated approach to progress is transforming communities worldwide.

For five years, Islamic Relief Canada’s Nazem Kadri Golf Classic has raised vital funds to support our Palestinian Healthy Child Fellowship Program (PHCF), providing children in Palestine access to the specialized care they need. The program continues to enable skilled graduates to return to Palestine and new fellows to come to SickKids for training in a range of urgently needed paediatric specialities. Together, we are improving the quality of paediatric health care in Palestine.

IRC has contributed $600,000 to the PHCF to date and recently made a $1.5M Catalyst Donor commitment to our No Limits Campaign to continue the work of the PHCF and to strengthen the work of SickKids internationally by bolstering our efforts in Global Child Health Programs.
