As we enter the holy month of Ramadan, SickKids is thankful to our friends at Islamic Relief Canada (IRC) who work to deliver life-saving emergency aid, provide lasting routes out of poverty and empower marginalized people to transform their lives and communities.
As a long time supporter, IRC has contributed vital funds to support our Palestinian Healthy Child Fellowship Program, providing children access to specialized care they need and improving the quality of paediatric health care in Palestine and funding Dr. Zulfiqar Bhutta as the Ibn Sina Scholar in Global Child Health, enabling Dr. Bhutta to continue contributing to major global child health institutions that directly impacts children and families around the world, particularly in economically disadvantaged regions.
At a time when the world is unified in our pursuit of health and protecting the most vulnerable, SickKids is extremely fortunate to work with IRC as part of the solution.
