Fundraising in honour of Ava Rainville

This week we are honoured to acknowledge the Rainville family and their long-standing fundraising efforts in memory of Ava Catherine Louise Wilson-Rainville.

Since 2010, with the support of their friends and community the Rainville family has continued to host various yearly events and have raised over $40,000 in support of SickKids. Funds raised have helped support crucial areas of the hospital, such as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Patient Amenities Fund at SickKids, which helps ease stress and financial burden for those SickKids families in need.

We would like to send our heartfelt thanks to Louise Rainville and Lise Bisson and their community for their ongoing commitment and dedication to SickKids Foundation over the past 14 years.

Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen has been a generous partner of the Children’s Miracle Network, supporting children’s hospitals in Canada since 1994.  SickKids is profoundly grateful for the more than $7 million donated by Dairy Queen Canada’s Franchise Operators, the dedication of their Crew and the loyalty of DQ Fans.

Dairy Queen’s annual Miracle Treat Day is Thursday August 8th, 2024 and proceeds from Blizzard’s sold across Canada will be donated to local children’s hospitals, like SickKids. Take your family and friends out for a Blizzard, a wonderful way to enjoy a cool treat and support SickKids too!

SickKids Foundation is grateful for Dairy Queen’s partnership and we’re proud to feature Dairy Queen in our donor spotlight and highlight their tremendous passion for child health. Dairy Queen’s generous support will contribute to helping us achieve our vision: Healthier Children. A Better World.
