José Bautista goes to bat for SickKids with new partnership announcement
SickKids Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with baseball icon and philanthropist José Bautista through the launch of The Bautista Impact Fund, a donor-advised fund dedicated to supporting the highest priority needs at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).

"SickKids is a place of hope, healing and innovation for families everywhere. As a father of four, I feel deeply connected to its mission"
The announcement was made today at the SickKids Patient Support Centre, where Bautista joined SickKids President and CEO Dr. Ronald Cohn and SickKids Foundation President and CEO Jennifer Bernard to celebrate the new initiative, alongside his family. The Bautista Impact Fund will provide unrestricted support to SickKids, enabling the hospital to respond with agility to its most urgent needs and to continue leading the way in paediatric care and research.
“SickKids is a place of hope, healing and innovation for families everywhere,” said José Bautista. “As a father of four, I feel deeply connected to its mission and honoured to play a role in making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families around the world. This fund is about giving back and helping to build a healthier future for generations to come.”
By supporting world-class care at SickKids, the fund will also enable SickKids to advance its groundbreaking Precision Child Health movement. This bold SickKids-led initiative harnesses cutting-edge science, technology, and data to deliver personalized care tailored to each child’s unique genetic makeup, environment, and lifestyle.
“Unrestricted giving is the key to unlocking the greatest promise in child health,” said Jennifer Bernard. “The Bautista Impact Fund will help advance research, support staff, and invest in the tools and technologies that define next-generation care at SickKids.”
The Bautista Impact Fund is a testament to José Bautista’s enduring dedication to supporting children and youth and marks a significant milestone in SickKids’ ongoing journey to support paediatric health care.
