For over 15 years, SickKids has partnered with Fairchild Media Group for SickKids Fairchild Fundraising Day. An annual fundraising event, the day raises funds for the highest priority needs at SickKids.

This year, SickKids entered a new era: Precision Child Health (PCH). It’s the end of one-size-fits-all medicine, and a shift to health care focused on each individual child. Join us to learn more about PCH and hear stories from patients and families about how SickKids, with support from generous community donors like you, has changed their lives.

Your support matters more than ever to kids like Louise, Cody and Nori. Precision Child Health means kids like them can be diagnosed faster – with less stress for them and their families; and treated smarter – with less pain and side effects, and quicker healing. And it means SickKids can better predict what’s coming. Hear from Louise, Cody and Nori below!

MEET CODY

Ten-year-old Cody was diagnosed with an anaphylactic allergy to peanuts not long after his first birthday. His parents worried about the challenges he would face throughout his life. But thanks to a supervised allergy study at SickKids, Cody has been able to build his tolerance to nuts, with a unique treatment plan tailored to his allergies. He loves the opportunity to contribute to science and help other kids with food allergies.

MEET LOUISE

Louise, who’s nine, has been a SickKids patient since she was born with a birthmark covering half her face. At SickKids, she gets the precise treatment and care she needs. She’s been through many challenging laser treatments, and often deals with questions from strangers and classmates. Through it all, Louise stays determined and confident: and SickKids is with her every step of the way.

MEET NORI

Nine-year-old Nori loves playing the drums and greets everyone she meets with a big smile. She’s been a SickKids patient since age six, when she was first diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that develops in nerve tissue. Nori has been through many months of treatment at SickKids, as doctors work to quickly diagnose new issues as they come up and find the best treatments for her. Nori’s , and her journey is ongoing, but SickKids is here for her every step of the way.
