Louise was born with a birthmark covering half her face, and has needed many challenging laser treatments at SickKids. Louise loves sharing her experiences to inspire others to overcome obstacles, too. She also loves to dance!

Rian has a very rare disorder, AADC deficiency, which causes motor development issues and seizure-like episodes. Rian visits SickKids regularly for monitoring and care, where she also loves joining story time at the Reading Room.

Hezekiah has a birth injury that caused paralysis in his arm, requiring surgery at SickKids. Today, he’s doing well: he loves reptiles! His team is there for him each step of the way with a treatment plan to help work on his arm function.

Chloe’s condition is complex: she has 11 diagnoses, has had countless surgeries and procedures at SickKids, and will need lifelong care. But that doesn’t stop her from doing what she loves, like jumping on the trampoline and swimming.

Bella has Pitt-Hopkins syndrome, a rare genetic condition, and a cortical vision impairment, and visits her team at SickKids regularly. Now 15, Bella is doing well and attends high school with her service dog, Ms. Dolly, by her side.

Paisley was diagnosed with leukemia just before turning two and went through many months of treatment at SickKids. She still needs to visit the hospital for monthly checkups, but today, she’s doing well. At home, she loves playing outside!
