Chippy's story
When Chippy was first asked to become a monthly donor, she quipped, "I don't have the funds!" However Chippy quickly remembered her adorable and strong values.
"Actually, I do have the funds," she proclaimed. She reached into her cheek pouch for the cash. She felt proud, like a charming, cheerful chipmunk at a very caring birthday party, which had jazz music playing in the background and two lovable uncles dancing to the beat.

Grey Squirrel's Story
Grey Squirrel looked at the delicious nut-free nut in her paws and felt happy.
She walked over to the hospital window and reflected on her cheery surroundings. She had always loved bright SickKids with its colossal, combative chipmunks. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel happy.
Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of another sick squirrel. The other squirrel was hopeful and as strong as an ox with a glowing tail and beautiful whiskers.

Red Squirrel
Red Squirrel glanced at her own reflection. She was an adorable, strong, water drinker with a strong tail and healthy whiskers. Her friends saw her as a brave red fox. Once, she had even saved a wide-eyed sick chipmunk that was stuck in a tree.
But not even an adorable rodent who had once saved a wide-eyed sick chipmunk that was stuck in a tree, was prepared for what was in store today.

Dr David Malkin, Co-lead, Precision Child Health
Dr. Malkin is helping to lead SickKids into the new era of Precision Child Health. Now, doctors like him are looking deeper into everything that makes a child who they are, from their genetic code to their postal code. So that SickKids – with the help of monthly donors like you – can do even more to give patients the best future possible. And save even more lives.

For Moez and Marissa Kassam, SickKids is more than a hospital – it's where their daughter Mikayla's life was saved. During her time there, Mikayla celebrated her 3rd birthday as an inpatient. Today, Mikayla continues to receive ongoing care and monitoring. This Giving Tuesday, they are offering a triple match – through the Moez & Marissa Kassam Equity Fund – in a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for the care Mikayla received. They want to inspire the community to give, so that SickKids can heal more futures for kids like Mikayla.

Give for April
April was diagnosed with infant acute lymphoblastic leukemia at just six months old. She spent months in and out of SickKids for treatment and spent her first birthday in the hospital. Today, she’s doing well and is home with her family.

Give for Shaan
Shaan has a rare disease called KCNT1-related epilepsy, and spent the first four months of his life at SickKids. His needs are complex and ongoing: but SickKids is there to support him and his family every step of the way.

MEET ALESSIO
Alessio has needed SickKids, again and again – which is why we need you. He was born with a heart that doesn’t work properly, and has needed multiple surgeries and SickKids stays to get him to where he is today: at home, being his happy, friendly self.

ATLEY'S STORY
For Atley, precision healthcare meant using genome sequencing to diagnose a potentially deadly heart condition, Brugada syndrome. Now, doctors can monitor Atley before any serious issues occur – and today, he’s doing well.

Atley, 8, Brugada Syndrome patient
Atley and his family are living proof of the power of Precision Child Health. Genomic sequencing revealed Atley’s rare heart condition, only discovered in families when someone dies. Because of this, they found Atley’s dad had the same condition. Now they both have pacemakers. His dad also had an internal defibrillator implanted. Monthly donor support is helping create more success stories like this.
