Tanika’s story

At age eight, Tanika’s undiagnosed type 1 diabetes led to organ damage. She needed a right-leg amputation and a double lung transplant at SickKids. Tanika’s journey is ongoing, but at SickKids, Tanika gets the complex care she needs.

Fight for Adina

“Adina has a strong and fierce spirit,” says her mom Gitty. Adina is 11 and has been a SickKids patient since she was three days old. She has a neuromuscular disease and is cared for by 10 different departments at the Hospital. By donating monthly, you’ll help SickKids continue to care for kids like Adina with complex medical needs.

Fight for Will

Three-year-old William (aka Will) is a happy, confident kid who loves laughing. He’s also a cancer survivor. He spent the first seven months of his life at SickKids being treated for infant leukemia. Just after his second birthday, Will was also diagnosed with epilepsy. His journey is ongoing, but SickKids — and monthly donors — are here to support him.

By donating monthly, you’ll help kids like Harper, who loves dancing and bike riding. Harper was born with a heart condition that led to multiple surgeries and long hospital stays at SickKids, and at age five, received a heart transplant. Today, Harper’s eight years old and thriving.

Two-year-old Lincoln’s favourite animal is turtles, and he loves making people laugh. Born with a form of dwarfism and other complex medical conditions, Lincoln visits SickKids regularly: a place where his mom Meagen says the family “feels seen and heard.” Monthly donors help SickKids give Lincoln the specialized care he needs.

Monthly donors help kids like Qais get back to being kids: in Qais’ case, playing soccer and doing art. He was treated at SickKids for neuroblastoma, a type of cancer, and went through years of difficult treatment. Today, he’s ten and cancer-free.
