ECHOage
ECHOage is celebrating 10 years of giving, stress free parties and empowering kids! SickKids is proud to have been a partner from the beginning, when a simple idea changed the face of birthday parties, for good.
ECHOage started when co-founders Alison Smith and Debbie Zinman had a chance discussion at a birthday party pick-up. They shared a desire to simplify birthday parties and gift giving for parents while making gift giving more meaningful for kids. From that desire came the ECHOage solution.
Now thousands of kids have chosen to ECHOage their birthday in support of SickKids, and they have collectively raised nearly $2,000,000! That’s right, almost two million dollars!
A win for all parents and children, ECHOage continues to be the most unique and effortless way for kids of all ages to give and get bigger birthday gifts, while discovering that the true gift is the great feeling that comes with true kindness and generosity.
In a few minutes, a parent can log on to the platform, create an invitation that can be emailed to guests and share the story of what charity their child has chosen and what it means to them. Guests can then make an online contribution to the party, with funds split between the charity and the birthday host. This allows kids to receive one or two meaningful, lasting gifts for their birthdays — stuff they’ve been dreaming about, like a new bike, an iPod, a doll house, or maybe even a trip — instead of the yearly birthday bounty lost, forgotten or — dare we say — re-gifted, while creating an opportunity to make their birthdays meaningful, inspiring compassion and generosity.

Through our Children's Miracle Network partnership and RE/MAX’s signature fundraising initiative, “The Miracle Home Program,” participating agents donate a dollar amount on every transaction to their local children’s hospital across Canada. SickKids is proud of our partnership with RE/MAX and everything they do to support child health.
Thousands of RE/MAX agents from Burlington to Belleville, from Toronto to North Bay, raised more than $880,000 in 2017 through the Miracle Home Program– that’s a lot of homes sold in support of SickKids!
