Donor Spotlight | Week of July 31

An Investor’s Guide to Thriving
‘An Investor’s Guide to Thriving’ is a series of investor education events, hosted by Larry Berman and organized by ETF Capital Management & Prosper Experiential Media. From October 2016 - April 2017, 25 seminars took place across the country to help Canadian’s increase their financial literacy and raise funds for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). While there was no charge to attend any of the seminars, thanks in part to the generous support of sponsors, donations were collected throughout the series and directed to leukemia and cancer research at SickKids.

Each year, approximately 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer in Canada. A quarter of these children come to SickKids, making the Garron Family Cancer Centre at SickKids Canada’s largest paediatric oncology centre.

We are extremely honoured to acknowledge a new community event such as ‘An Investor’s Guide to Thriving’, as our Donor of the Week! To date, they have surpassed their initial fundraising goal of $20,000 and raised over $30,000 in support of SickKids.

RE/MAX
RE/MAX believes every family should have a happy, healthy home. That’s why RE/MAX Agents and Brokers throughout Ontario put their money where the miracles are, contributing over $13 million to SickKids over our 25 year partnership.

This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the RE/MAX & Children's Miracle Network partnership, recognizing RE/MAX’s signature fundraising initiative, The Miracle Home Program. Agents who participate in this program generously make a donation to SickKids, through Children's Miracle Network, with each real estate transaction they close. Many RE/MAX brokerages and Agents go above and beyond by hosting events such as golf tournaments, silent auctions and barbecue fundraisers, just to name a few.

Over 2,000 RE/MAX Agents from Burlington to Belleville, from Toronto to North Bay, raised over $830,000 in 2016 through the Miracle Home Program – that’s a lot of homes sold for SickKids! Thank you, RE/MAX agents and brokers, for your incredible support of our patients and their families.
