Lorri-Ann was born in 1962 with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, conditions that affect the brain and spinal cord. Doctors told her parents she was unlikely to live, and only had a 1 in 80 million chance of survival. But Lorri-Ann beat the odds, receiving a cutting-edge surgery at SickKids that saved her life. That’s why she’s giving in her will, so future kids have the opportunity to live the life she did.

“SickKids saved me,” says Lorri-Ann. “They gave me the greatest doctor, and I felt all my life it was necessary to give back.”
