Sobeys

In 2018, Sobeys joined the SickKids campaign as a Catalyst Donor with a commitment of $1 million over five years.

Sobeys’ remarkable commitment was brought to life through sponsorship of our signature event: GetLoud. As our “Fuel Up Sponsor”, Sobeys engaged participants through gift cards giveaways, by serving a delicious breakfast at the starting line and providing encouragement on route with their Sobeys “Cheer Squad” of volunteers.

Sobeys depth of commitment is inspiring. By urging their staff to support SickKids, Sobeys emerged as our second-highest grossing team at GetLoud, raising almost $40,000.

Breakfast of Champions

Breakfast of Champions in support of SickKids provides young professionals with the opportunity to have an intimate and informational breakfast with “champions” – influential community and business leaders from various fields including business, law, medicine, sports and entertainment. At each breakfast table, a champion is joined by a group of up to 10 young professionals where they will have the opportunity to share their insights about becoming a champion in their respective fields.

Organized by a vibrant group of young professionals from Toronto, this event brings critical support and awareness to highest priority need areas at SickKids. To date, Breakfast of Champions has raised over $750,000 for SickKids and are well on their way to reaching their $1M goal with this year’s event on November 8, 2019.

We are humbled to recognize the Breakfast of Champions committee for their many years of remarkable and heartfelt support of SickKids. Most importantly, we wish to thank the event co-chairs Simon Leith, Jonathan Tong and David Leith for their leadership, dedication and vision of providing the best care possible to our patients and their families.
