Donor Spotlight | Week of August 15
401 Bike Challenge
SickKids Foundation is pleased to recognize Gene Piccoli and the dedicated cyclists of the 401 Bike Challenge as our Donors of the Week!
The 401 Bike Challenge is a three-day charity bike ride from Toronto to Montreal with a mission to help improve the care and treatment of children battling cancer, as well as to support their families and the dedicated people who care for them at the Toronto SickKids and the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
For the past fourteen years, the 401 Bike Challenge has been a remarkable grass roots success raising over $2 million to date. This year’s event will feature over 40 riders departing from the front lawn of SickKids Hospital on August 17th and heading to Montreal!
We are most appreciative of the ongoing support and fundraising efforts of these riders and wish to recognize Gene and the organizing committee who work tirelessly year-round to put together this successful event.
Thank you for believing in SickKids and for your relentless pursuit of child health.
Dairy Queen
Dairy Queen has been a generous partner of the Children’s Miracle Network, supporting children’s hospitals in Canada since 1994. SickKids is profoundly grateful for the more than $5 million donated by Dairy Queen’s Franchise Operators, the dedication of their Crew and the loyalty of DQ Fans.
Dairy Queen’s annual Miracle Treat Day is Thursday August 11 and proceeds from Blizzard’s sold across the country will be donated to local children’s hospitals, like SickKids. A wonderful way to enjoy a cool treat and support SickKids too!
SickKids Foundation is proud to feature Dairy Queen in our donor spotlight and highlight their tremendous passion for child health. Dairy Queen’s generous support will contribute to building a brand new SickKids hospital that will help children across Canada and around the world lead longer and healthier lives.
