Donor Spotlight | Week of June 17

FORE the Kids Charity Golf Tournament

This week we would like to acknowledge our Community Partner, FORE the Kids Charity Golf Tournament as our donor of the week.

On Saturday June 22nd, FORE the Kids Charity Golf Tournament will host their 13th annual event at the Granite Ridge Golf Club. Funds raised through this tournament will support the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at SickKids in memory of Jeffrey Neiman.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks out to Tournament Director, Caroline Stringer as well as the tournament committee and volunteers for their ongoing commitment and dedication. We also want to send our deepest appreciation to the FORE the Kids charity Golf Tournament participants, sponsors and donors who continue to support this tournament year after year.

On behalf of all of us at SickKids, thank you!

Salex

SickKids Foundation is honoured to recognize Salex as our donor of the week!

Salex, founded in 1973, has become known in the commercial design industry for the quality of its products. As the exclusive regional distributor of innovative architectural lighting products from prominent Canadian, American, and European brands, Salex remains dedicated to the promotion and education of quality, high-efficiency lighting, and controls.

Philanthropy has always been a top priority for Salex, as they began fundraising for SickKids in the late 90’s when Nick Puopolo purchased the company. They have continued to support us ever since, under Nick’s leadership and direction. We were humbled to learn that Salex selected SickKids Foundation as their charity partner for their 50th Anniversary party in 2023 – such an incredible milestone. With over 1,000 guests in attendance, including their employees, suppliers, and clients, Salex generously donated $75,000 to the Smiles of Innocence Fund at SickKids.

We are incredibly grateful for the support we continue to receive from Salex, Nick Puopolo, their leadership team and all the employees. Thank you for helping us achieve our vision of Healthier Children. A Better World.
