Women's Auxiliary Volunteers
SickKids is celebrating two incredible milestones in 2025: the 75th anniversary of The Women’s Auxiliary Volunteers (WAV) at SickKids and the 150th birthday of the hospital!
For 75 years, WAV has dedicated countless volunteer hours to programs and clinics directly supporting patient care across the hospital; created programs aimed at creating an dimension of care and patient experience in the hospital like the Bravery Beads program, the PlayPark and the 555 Shop; and have given philanthropically raising over $20M for hospital priorities, including five Chairs helping the hospital attract and retain the best and brightest in paediatric medicine.
SickKids Foundation is grateful for WAV and their 75 years of continued passion for the children and families cared for at the hospital.
