NEWSTALK 1010 Gift of Giving for SickKids
SickKids Foundation is pleased to announce that more than $224,405 was raised through this year’s NEWSTALK 1010 Gift of Giving for SickKids.
As in previous years, phones were ringing off the hook. All donations from this year’s event supported the SickKids VS Limits campaign to build a new SickKids, the largest fundraising campaign in Canadian health care history. There were exciting corporate hourly matches during the event from our generous corporate donors: Domino’s Pizza of Canada Ltd., UA Local 46 and GA Paper International.
More than $224,405 was raised through this year’s NEWSTALK 1010 Gift of Giving.
NEWSTALK 1010’s The Rush with Ryan Doyle & Jay Michaels hosted the four-hour broadcast live from the Atrium at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). Hosts from across the station including Barb DiGiulio, John Moore and Jim Richards, were also in attendance, and special guest Mayor John Tory stopped by to show his support. We were thrilled to see hospital staff, patients and their families join us throughout the event to help celebrate the holiday season.
