Canaccord Genuity FUNdraises for SickKids
As The Great Camp Adventure Walk gears up for its third annual event on Saturday, September 26, 2015, the employees of the event’s title sponsor, Canaccord Genuity, are preparing themselves for another season of FUNdraising in support of SickKids.Kristi, Manager, Marketing & Communications | Capital Markets for Canaccord Genuity is one of those employees looking forward to tying up her laces and walking the route with her colleagues.
“It’s a great feeling to be part of an organization that cares enough to invest in their community,” said Kristi about Canaccord Genuity’s involvement in The Great Camp Adventure Walk. “It is a privilege to work with my executive team and fellow employees to make a difference in the health and wellbeing of children overcoming medical issues.”

Beyond participating in the annual event, employees at Canaccord Genuity also run in-office fundraisers leading up to the day. Activities include bake sales, raffles and pizza days as well as encouraging staff to take part via social media and email. Canaccord Genuity also offered employees an opportunity to share their personal encounters with SickKids.
“It was so refreshing and brave to see people sharing these very personal experiences,” said Kristi. “I think it brought us together and created an even stronger community.”
Once event day arrives, Kristi has two things she most looks forward to – opening ceremonies and meeting SickKids ambassadors. “The energy, support and impact of this fundraising initiative is palpable during the opening ceremonies. And getting the chance to see so many SickKids kids running around, playing games and just being kids … it really puts things into perspective.”
