From November 20 – December 20, 2016 SickKids asked 100 new monthly donors per day to help build a new operating suite.
To date, 4 of 16 ORs have been redeveloped, but projected volume of procedures for 2016/2017 is expected to exceed 12,000 cases per year.
The Hospital’s operating suites are 25 years old, and they’re becoming outdated. A new operating suite would give surgeons instant access to cutting edge technology, significantly reduce a child’s pain, and lower the risk of complications.
