We asked SickKids dad Moe to share a moment that stuck in his mind from when his daughter Anisa was being treated at SickKids. This is the moment Moe remembers with his daughter, Anisa.

Anisa was 5 years old and just had surgery on both her knees and had a cast on both legs, all the way up to her inner thigh. Of all the surgeries and procedures throughout her life, she never had as much of an issue as was on this day. It was something that she was capable of doing but couldn't for various reasons, even after three separate attempts. To date, I have never seen her soul cry with such emotional and physical tears. I asked her once again to have faith and to trust me that it will be okay. After the procedure was done and she felt better, she looked up at me with a smile that melted my heart as if to say thanks Dad and that was the moment we truly connected with each other. The bond only kept getting stronger from there.
