SickKids has been closely monitoring the developments related to the COVID‐19 situation and continues to assess the current climate and adjust our fundraising efforts to keep everyone safe while continuing the important work of raising funds to build a new SickKids. Health and safety for all is the top priority and we want to ensure our community is protected. To ensure everyone remains safe while we continue to fundraise, we have cautiously resumed our fundraising in a limited number of malls and changed the way we sign up new donors to adhere to public health guidelines. Read our FAQs for more information.
Since 2004, SickKids Foundation has conducted face-to-face fundraising campaigns in malls, at events, airports, and other busy environments. Our mall and venue campaign engages and informs shoppers, and the general public, on ways they can help fund the fight for childhood at SickKids.
These donors provide critical unrestricted funding to create impact where it’s needed most now, and where it’s needed next. It’s the best way for donors to assure the best possible outcomes for kids, everywhere, now and in the future.
Public Outreach, our partner in mall and venue fundraising, employs honest and respectful representatives who fundraise on our behalf. Public Outreach employees are compensated through an hourly wage, with no commission.test
