Donor Spotlight | Week of December 3

Ripley's Aquarium of Canada

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada inspires the community and SickKids!

Home to 20,000 aquatic animals and North America’s longest underwater viewing tunnel, Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada gives back to the community as a proud supporter of SickKids and makes a difference in the lives of children impacted by serious illness or injury. Every year, Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada hosts SickKids Charity Day in which they generously donate a portion of all ticket sales as well as welcome SickKids patients and families for a complimentary unforgettable underwater experience with behind-the-scenes tours with aquarists.

Since 2014, Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada has donated $50,000 to SickKids and has brightened the days of hundreds of young patients and families! In sincere thanks for this, SickKids is pleased to honour Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada as our Donor of the Week. Thank you to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada customers and staff for your support!

Chatime

Chatime Ontario is proud to be a SickKids donor! To date, we have donated $32,072.27 and our donations went to purchasing a new state-of-the-art intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) machine - all the way from Germany - for the NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) at SickKids. The unit provides medical and surgical services for newborns up to four weeks of age from the GTA, the country and across the world and this machine is a critical piece of infrastructure that will help doctors more quickly identify the specific illness and required treatments. We want to give a special shoutout to all our Chatime customers. SickKids relies on the support and donations from the community so this would not have been possible without your support. YOU ALL ROCK!
