Mental health challenges can start out small, but they do not always stay that way. A recent survey from Children’s Healthcare Canada found that 48% of the parents surveyed said their children experienced new mental health challenges during the pandemic and more than half of parents (54%) said they intended to seek out mental health services for their children. The Family of Support: Child & Youth Mental Health Initiative, launched by The Sobey Foundation, Empire Company Limited and CCHF, is more committed than ever to support early interventions in mental health care for young people.
